Fairly good stay, comfortable, safe,...

Liked: Good bed. Fairly good shower. Air conditioner worked well. Nice location in the town.
Disliked: We were told at check-in that "house keeping is not automatic; you have to request it". I have never run into that at ANY hotel I have ever stayed at before -- not even economy hotels. That is ridiculous! They must not know much about the hotel business. Our room had a coffee maker and small refrigerator but no microwave. Our traveling companions' room didn't even have a refrigerator. Our traveling companions room also only had one chair for two people. They just don't seem to be up to modern "standards". Supposedly they are a luxury hotel. If I ever stay in Staunton, VA again I will look for my luxury at some other hotel.
