Liked: Hotel was lovely. Very clean and comfortable. Right in the centre of town. Staff gave us helpful recommendations. It has a pool but we didn't have time to use it. Parking in garage very easy - and there's a lift up to the rooms from the garage. We had breakfast elsewhere so can't comment on that.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Beautiful historic hotel in downtown Staunton. Comfortable bed and room.
Disliked: Don’t love that the historic name was changed.

We enjoyed the stay because...

Liked: Staff was helpful and very friendly. Location is perfect.
Disliked: The hotel is not clean. Our first room appeared to never have been cleaned. The bathroom had a dirty vanity with false eyelashes left by the previous guests. The floor had some plastic thing on it . The toilet had an obvious ring around it. We asked that they clean the room. Instead we moved down the hall. No one offered to help. The room was in better shape, but there was a huge stain on the big chair. The hotel is beautiful, but poorly kept. Everything was dirty, from the elevators to the tables in the lobby. I dont understand why a beautiful hotel is kept the way 24 South is.

Beautiful Hotel Walking Distance to...

Liked: Beautiful facility. Great location in walking distance to downtown with many shops and restaurants. Next door to the Blackfriar Theater. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Nothing. My stay could not have been better.

Very convenient and overall fine.

Liked: Location was amazing for us as it was a few steps from the Shakespeare theater and the restaurant we ate at.
Disliked: The only issue had to do with bed covers. The bottom sheet was a top sheet and not quite big enough for the mattress. The covers were light and there were no extra blankets.
