Liked: Friendly staff make you feel at home that the reason I keep coming back when I go to Guadalajara. I go twice a year. From Costa Rica. I like the size and distribution of the common areas ,I love the historic building design..the balconies , the light and air coming in .Also to seat there and watch .
Disliked: Some ceramic dishes to use in microwave,I did not find any,I did not ask either.

Liked: The location is great and staff has been kind and helpful during the day.
Disliked: The room I booked (room 1) was a single room next to the living room and TV area that became in few occasion the meeting area during the night (2 am and 6 am) and all the nights I had to go and ask to reduce the volume or go to talk elsewhere. The acoustic is terrible so, in the room I could even listen the volume louder. A real nightmare. I asked the staff to do something but in 3 nights nothing happened. I have been to hostels before but it has been the loudest so far

Liked: Helpful staff, good breakfast, large common area, nice outdoor patios, in the middle of Guadalajara, easy check in.
Disliked: The room was somewhat hot, the hot water was inconsistent.

Liked: The breakfast was nice and simple. They had coffee, cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, cookies and juice available which was enough for me. I felt it was very secure and safe because of the locks on the front door. The rooms had a lot of natural light. The showers were available all day. There is no lock on the bathroom doors but I felt safe by just closing the doors of the bathroom. I felt that everyone was respectful to the privacy of others staying there. There was a lady who was friendly she would clean the floors and bath rooms everyday. The vibe of the entire place was comfortable for me. Staff was accomidating and kind. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay. I got to experience a private room the 1st night which they give you a key to open. It had a lock on the entrance and then a lock on the bedroom I stayed in. It was very secure and I felt safe. Then I went into the coed dorms the last 3 nights. The bunk beds were fairly comfortable I got to sleep on the bottom one which was easier for me. I was by the window which was open and gave off a lot of breeze from the outside which I loved.
Disliked: As a woman I made the mistake of sleeping in the shared room with all the guys, even with my partner in the bed next to me I was on edge the entire time. The guys were very loud going in and out of the rooms, slamming the doors or leaving it wide open when I was trying to sleep. I am not saying they were threatening in any way, it was just different. I think it would have been more comfortable for me to sleep in the room with the other women instead.

Liked: Its in a great location. The staff seemed friendly.
Disliked: The only time in my life i left a hostel after checking in. Maybe it was the overwhelming amount of 18 year old boys staring at me. Maybe they didnt know how to flush the toilet. But there was no locker to use because someone was using them all and the fan didnt have a power point. Why have a fan if you cant plug it in? The location was great but i left the first night even though i paid.
