Disappointing

Liked: Excellent location - right in the thick of Madrid life but not noisy. Very easy to access by public transport. The train line even connects directly to the main train station. A lovely walk from the hotel to the major galleries and markets. Very little staff interaction but they were pleasant.
Disliked: There were two bathrooms on our level and one was unusable during our stay (needing repairs). The kitchen on our level was not allowed to be used for cooking, and the kitchen on the main level was extremely basic. I don't think there were any laundry facilities. The bed was uncomfortable. And overall the whole hostel lacked any vibe or personality. It was grim.
