The staff was very friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back and spend more time at this hotel.
Disliked: The balcony was too small.

Great sport for a short...
Liked: Nice old building with period charm and comforts. Excellent bar serving great cocktails and huge range of whiskey. Friendly place and great for downtown.
Disliked: Room a bit noisy with some building work and street noise, but it's a city centre it is expected. Room carpet a bit worn, but the room was very clean and tidy.

Beautiful and convenient. Historical as...
Liked: What I liked about the property was the gorgeous look and the location. The room was a little dated, but was to be expected with the age of the property. We booked it specifically to take pictures in front of before my daughters Prom and it worked out perfectly. Everything was just beautiful.
Disliked: The mattress was too old, sunk it like a body mold

Charming historic boutique hotel; great...
Liked: We really liked the old world charm and style of the Horton Grand Hotel including the restaurant. The late night check-in staff was very efficient and pleasant but other times during the day staff were efficient but not overly welcoming and polished in dress or greetings as might be expected for the hotel image. However, clear explanation by staff about street parking was very helpful. We had no problem finding street parking just a block away for the evening and weekend. Note: we drove out around 9 am on the weekday so we can not attest to daytime parking convenience or availability. The room size and temperature were good. The complimentary cocktail/drink per guest was a nice touch. The hotel is wonderfully located for restaurants, pubs, and other entertainment, all within very manageable walking distances.A mascot, logo, or trinket of some sort could work.
Disliked: We stayed in a corner king room with a balcony, 3rd floor. The lights on either side of the bed were up high and inconvenient to shut off. Only one side of the bed had power source to plug a phone in for charging, although there was an outlet near the table. A comfy chair vs. a dining table captains chair would be nice. The tea and coffee service were only adequate. The balcony with street view was not worth it, particularly in cool weather. And the doors to the balcony precluded additional light to the room making the room a little dim. Low lighting in the bathroom.
