Liked: Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean. This is an older hotel and is dated but doesn’t feel tired or worn down like others tend to do. It’s also very quiet, which is nice. There’s no bells or whistles and the free breakfast leaves much to be desired but McCook is small town and getting around from the hotel is easy. I’ve stayed here a couple times and never had any issues.
Disliked: Breakfast options include biscuits and gravy or grits - I’m not sure, didn’t look appetizing to me. Otherwise it was a typical continental breakfast style set up with packaged oatmeal and muffins, bread, yogurt, juice and coffee.
