Horse Cave Motel

Cheap and clean. Would not...

Liked: Room #26 was clean with aged furnishing. The room was cheap and I booked knowing that it was not a 5 star motel. We arrived late & left early and needed it only for sleeping.The air conditioning worked well and help to drown out the noise from our chatty neighbors. Our room included a small refrigerator and microwave.
Disliked: I was charged an extra $10 for my granddaughter even though I indicated one adult and one child when booking. The bathroom had a strange layout with only a foot between the sink and wall, to get to the toilet. A larger person would have had difficulty getting through the narrow space.Shower was very small with no light inside. The door was secured by a small chain and a lock that could have been easily opened with a credit card. NO deadbolts. This made for a restless night of sleep. In the morning, I discovered black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom!We did not stay there on our return journey home.Pictures included

Liked: It was clean, quiet and the price was good
Disliked: The ac had some issues getting it to cool as the digital display was kinda messed up. The toilet paper is bad. Bring your own. The pillows where thin. Bring your own.

Inexpensive and clean, but loud...

Disliked: The room was a very strange long yet small room with a small bathroom. It did not look anything like the pictures online. There were bright overhead lights by the door but no bedside lamp or switch. The bathroom had a weird door with a deadbolt. The room had not had the ac on so it was warm and very muggy. The cooler blew really loud and strong even on low so it woke us up each time it turned on during the night. It was either very cold while it was blowing or would get very warm while it was on the off cycle. I think this is because the room was not conditioned and the bed is very far away from the cooler. We were also awakened by happy singing, but then by a very loud and vibrating washing machine which was in the room right next to us.

This is a decent place...

Liked: This place was very clean and a good price. It was quiet considering it's on the main road of town.
Disliked: The mattress was hard as a rock. I didn't sleep well at all. They were doing some sort of construction in the back in the morning before check out time. At first they asked if it would disturb me and I said yes. So they waited a bit but still went ahead doing stuff near my window. One of the workers was smoking a cigarette and it got in my room so I had to close the window.
