Liked: The room was lovely with a balcony. We liked the picnic breakfast delivered each morning and the cheese and wine available each afternoon. The staff were very friendly. It’s a short walk to the town and the beach.
Disliked: We found the beds very soft.

Liked: Pam met us at check-in and was warm and informative. Horizon is beautifully situated away from the hurly-burly of downtown Carmel while only a few minutes away on foot. We enjoyed the happy hour of local wines and cheeses, the roominess of our room, the gas fireplace, and available parking. There was also a small hot tub for a good soak.The bedding was elegant. We had a hard time, though, adjusting to the pillows--either too big or too small and soft.We thought the window was locked in place but later figured out that it was merely stuck (Room 112).We liked the overhead fan, multiple mirrors, great shower. The robes were stylish but polyester and too warm.Overall, highly recommended.
