Beautiful property, great staff
Liked: Outstanding clean, well laid out property with first class service from the check in staff to the serving staff in the restaurant and the guys by the pool bringing free bottles of chilled water. There are two pools - one for the casita guests and one for the hotel guests. We stayed in a casita which was extremely comfortable.
Disliked: Nothing.

Very Disappointing. This facility needs...
Liked: The buffet breakfast was cold at 10am
Disliked: The ac didn't work in our room and the hotel couldn't fix it. We had to open our door and put a fan in the doorway to try and bring in cooler air from the hallway. Even in the morning when it was only 83 outside, it was 74 in our room and would not get any cooler.

Our expectations were higher because...
Liked: We have visited the Hoodoo multiple times, and it has been one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at! It is a beautiful hotel, the location is great, and the value has typically been amazing.
Disliked: We stayed in the Casita B Level this round, and upon unpacking we had some issues that disappointed us. There was blood stains on the comforter in the double queen bed room, our kids found two bottles of alcohol hidden in the room (open bottle of wine behind the dining area curtains) and an opened bottle of vodka in the kitchen. The king room tv remote was missing, and there were cigarette butts left all over the downstairs patio. This is the first negative review of a hotel I have ever written, but it is because of the cost of this hotel stay and our expectations because of that and previous stays, we were disappointed in this stay. One last issue we had is that we weren’t able to us the main pool the last two nights because there was a large and extremely rowdy family there that was hitting other people with footballs and jumping and almost hitting other kids and adults. Unfortunately there is nobody even checking in or around the pool as far as staff goes. Every other person ended up leaving the pool because nothing was said to these people. This lasted for over two hours and we eventually just left.
