Ideal as close to Durham...

Liked: I liked the location of the hotel, as it was only a few minutes drive from a park and ride. I also liked the fact that you could park right outside your room.
Disliked: The pictures of a double room on Booking.com were very misleading. The room we had was half the size of the one shown and not as nicely decorated. This may have been a double room in the actual main building and not the motel style rooms, but this should be made clearer when booking, it was quite disappointing on arrival. We booked two rooms, and both bathrooms where in quite a bad state of disrepair.Also breakfast is served from 7am Mon-Fri but from 8am at the weekends. As we required breakfast earlier than 8am on the Saturday morning, I had to take my own pastries etc to eat in the room.

Liked: We would recommend this hotel to anyone .staff so friendly and helpful. Give us good tips of places to visit..which we took advantage of ..and was not disappointed..parked outside our front door which made things so easy food excellent 👌.. we will be staying at this hotel again 😀 😄

Comfortable

Liked: Nice and hot when came to the table .
Disliked: It took us to get the dinner a long time . Over 45 minutes.

Welcoming, fab affordable food, peaceful...

Liked: All meals were reasonably priced and generous portions. Quickly delivered and thoughtful conversation. The bus stop was 2 minutes from the hotel and 2.50 get into Durham to see cathedral and castle on the regular #6 service in 10-15 mins tops. Uber alternative for 4 people £11-12 for journey taking you 2 mins walk from Cathedral. So you get to stay somewhat peaceful, reasonably priced food and easily accessible to get into the centre.
Disliked: Nothing to report.

Liked: Our room has a view to the grass field which looks really calm for a getaway. Checking in and out was really easy. The room was good and clean and has all the things we need. They service the room every day. A bonus point is that the bus stop is right in front of the hotel.
