Liked: The property is close to a lot of things. The location is great!
Disliked: The beds were uncomfortable, the breakfast was bland and repetitive and our room only was cleaned once despite us being there for 7 days. It was overpriced for what we experienced. We chose Homewoods because we have stayed at other locations in the country and always had a good experience. This one was the worst.

Disliked: The room was dirty and no one came to clean it despite us being there for 4 days. Breakfast was bland and repetitive and the beds were like cardboard.

Disliked: All the PLASTIC plates/bowls/cups etc at breakfast was maddening! So terrible environmentally unfriendly! How is the Hilton allowed to be operating like this in Chicago? There must be rules against single use plastic? Or if not, Hilton needs to do better! Each room has china (non plastic) dish ware, and dishwashers. Why can’t the breakfast room do similarly? I stayed in this same hotel 3 years ago and made the same complaint. But I assume Hilton’s environmental policy (and Chicago’s) would have changed since then. Apparently not.

Disliked: My companion and myself was locked out of our room for 3 hours 11pm-2am because the door lock malfunctioned.we sat in the lobby for the three hours until the staff decided to put us in a different room so that we could get some sleep.We was extended a late check out time as we stayed up late due to being locked out.The staff bothered us the entire morning. First, they needed us to move back to our original room. Next, what time are we checking out...Then the house keeping staff walked into the room on me in the nude. The extended time was used by the staff not by us to recover from the previous night.So my campion and I decided to just leave before the 2pm extension.We were given a certificate to return and was promised the previous night to be complimentary per the GM Lorena.I never received the refund back as promised. I contacted Lorena, she assured me of the refund. I explained to her that I did not have any receipt of the refund being posted to my account.,She was suppose to send me an email of the refund, I never received it.I called her a few more times over the next few days to inquire about the email. Lorena was not available.My calls were never returned.The comp that was promised was not honored.
