Liked: The people at the Hilton garden inn which is connected. They were very nice and helpful while I had to wait for a room. But on the other side, where I stayed, it was the polar opposite, people were rude and not helpful.
Disliked: I was lied to about check-in time. They said that book ing.com was incorrect with the check-in time and that if I had looked at their website that it said 4:00. However, when I looked at their website it said 3:00 which was the same as reported by booking.com. They insisted they did not have a clean room for me and said that all of the housekeeping staff was at the other hotel which is connected and not available to clean any of the rooms. This was at about 1:30 in the afternoon which I realized was early but they insisted that there would be no clean room until at least 4:00 p.m. that day. That answer came after they sent me an email offering me digital check-in which did not work. Their email and their website insisted that I could pick my room in advance. When I got to the desk they said that there was no such thing available to me. Then I said well why did you email it to me and got no answer. When I complained that there must be some room in that entire hotel they then gave me a room. The room that they gave me is dirty, the grout is coming out of the tile on the bathroom floor, it smells like cigar smoke and I think someone disabled the smoke alarms because I don't see any Red light anything to show me that they might be working. This is supposed to be a non-smoking room but clearly someone has been smoking in here and it should have been realized by the hotel. They sent me a text asking me how my room was. When I brought up The smell, they offered to come and spray the room to get rid of the odor. I said I didn't want chemicals sprayed in the room and they just said sorry. I've never stayed in a hotel as bad as this one. The staff is rude and I'm helpful, which is a shame because everyone on the other side at the other hotel has been fantastic! Never again. Will I stay at a Homewood Suites anywhere ever. How many easygoing person but this is just the most awful experience I have ever had.
