Disappointing
Liked: No one cleaned the room on 3 daysThe swimming pool was closed.

Very good
Liked: 1) Food had been left in frig by a prior guest-- not cleaned. 2,) Like 75% of the world, I am lactose intolerant. Eggs had milk (no warning). WHY? Had I not asked, I would have had a very unpleasant day. Most everything had milk in it. 3) Staff told me to take my time to write management. WHY? For what is their time reserved?

OK, but management/maintenance team had...
Liked: Breakfast was good but not excellent. No fresh fruit and needed more variety.
Disliked: Our card key didn't work several times as well as some of the other guests as well during the stay. We were locked out of our room for 2 and a half hours the day of departure which delayed our travel time to another important meeting in Georgia. The maintenance man on call made several mistakes and did not know anything about the electronic locking system which turned out to be a mechanical issue. He had never worked on the locking systems before and wanted to replace the lock which would have delayed the trip for another 3-4 hours. The management team had no back up plan to get in the room ( no universal mechanical key) and my husband saved the day by trying to open the window (1st floor room) and luckily the window was unlocked. You would have thought the maintenance man would have checked for that first. He was clueless about everything it seemed. Again, management had no back-up plan.

Inconvenient
Liked: Check in was supposed to be at 3:00. We arrived several hours later and were told our room wasn't ready due to being short staffed. Left and we were called a little while later saying our room was ready. Went back and got our room keys, then went to our room. About 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door. It was the front desk person telling us that the people who reserved this room were there and that we would have to move to another room. So we packed our stuff and went to the front desk. We were given keys to another room. While I understand that sometimes places will be short handed, we were not offered any compensation for all of the trouble. Only something off of the sweet table. I do believe that the front desk clerk was overwhelmed, she did apologize but that did not make up for the fiasco. The back door near our room did not lock so security was in jeopardy. The front trashcan was overflowing, which did not help with the curb appeal. This hotel was recommended to us and the party who recommended it was embarrassed that they did. When a business fails to meet expectations they should offer some kind of compensation.
Disliked: Not having the room ready for hours later. Well passed the noted 3:00 check in time.Not being compensated for the inconvenience.
