Very comfortable; great location!
Liked: The beds are extremely comfortable, and the location is great for Downtown and the Stampede
Disliked: The shower is awkward to turn on, giving you a cold soaking before you start .. however, is great once it warms up

Very convenient for an overnight...
Liked: The hotel was situated in an area close to the centre of town, the manager was very friendly and welcoming and it was very very convenient having an onsite restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

Liked: Good location, friendly staff, spacious room. The hotel is located at the light rail stop, where you can ride a stretch through the city center for free. A bar/restaurant called King Eddy with great live jazz is close by. There's a popular ice cream place called Village Ice Cream in a back alley off of 4th St. SE (walk away from the river, under the train track tunnel).
There's a grocery and drug store which is East of the hotel. Great walking/running paths along the Bow River, going East toward Ft. Calgary! Didn't use the gym/pool nor the evening buffet, so I can't comment on those amenities.
Disliked: Bathroom mirror lighting was a bit too dim. The ceiling fan switch wasn't marked and I had to get someone to come up to my room to show me where it was. My room was on the 9th floor facing the Bow River but even on this high floor, I could hear the rumbling of the light rail train which ran along 7 Ave. NE (which my room faced).
