Homewood Suites by Hilton Birmingham-SW-Riverchase-Galleria

From the time I checked in until I checked out, everyone was kind, considerate and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the room and lobby was very clean. Made me really grateful I paid a bit more for a room!

Disappointing to say the least.

Liked: Hotel location was good.
Disliked: Roof being replaced and they put us on the top floor...noisy as heck. Pool was closed, not good. I chose this hotel specifically for the pool and arrived early so my 6 grandkids could swim. Construction, plastic sheeting down the hallways and one of the two elevators was closed - serving probably 100-120 rooms on floors 2-6. Construction workers had the automatically locking exits blocked open with rocks in the doors. No notifications on the hotel website or I would not have reserved. It was too late to get another 2 bedroom suite anywhere else locally. Hilton Honors shouldn't ever treat their guests like this! 1/3 of the parking spaces were blocked off. People had to park all over the property in non designated places. If there had been a fire, no fire engines would have been able to get near the building.

Disliked: The sofa was like sitting on plywood and bricks Probably the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever sit on in my life The shower dripped all night long and you could not get it to stop

Liked: The property was very nice and clean. Our only issue was the microwave didn’t work but we used the countertop to warm out food other than that everything was Perfect we will be back.
