Stylish Comfort Close to Gainesville's Music Scene

Modern and welcoming, Home2 Suites by Hilton Gainesville offers a laid-back vibe with all-suite accommodations, just a short walk from the University of Florida and a quick drive from Gainesville's top concert venues. With its relaxed atmosphere, thoughtful amenities, and convenient location, it's a smart choice for music lovers looking to enjoy the show and unwind afterward.

This 3-star hotel features an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a casual on-site restaurant, and complimentary WiFi throughout the property. Some suites even include kitchenettes with a fridge, microwave, and dishwasher—perfect for longer stays or late-night snacks.

Check-in starts early at 12:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM—great flexibility for pre-show prep and post-show recovery.

Why Concert-goers love it

With Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and the Hippodrome State Theater just minutes away, you'll be close to the action without being right in the middle of the noise. The hotel’s quiet surroundings offer a peaceful retreat after a loud night out. Plus, its proximity to major roads and Gainesville Regional Airport (only 6.2 miles away) makes getting in and out a breeze—even if you're flying in just for the show.

The 24-hour front desk can assist with local transportation tips, and the suites’ kitchenettes are ideal for late-night bites. No rideshare stress, no long walks—just easy access to the music and a comfy bed waiting when you return.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want to share roomy suites with kitchen space
  • Solo travelers flying in for a bucket-list artist
  • Couples looking for a relaxed weekend near the scene
  • Fans who prefer a quieter, comfier post-show vibe
  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting good value with solid amenities

Food and Drink Options

Start your day with a buffet or American breakfast—served late enough to recover from a big night. While there’s no mention of 24/7 room service, having a restaurant on-site and a kitchen in many rooms makes it easy to fuel up anytime. You’ll also find a variety of local eateries within walking distance for post-concert meals or pre-show bites.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, you’re just a short drive from downtown Gainesville’s nightlife, including bars, lounges, and music venues. Prefer something low-key? Chill with your own drinks in-suite or take a dip in the hotel’s pool to wind down.

What People Say

Guests love the clean, modern suites, especially the ones with kitchenettes. Reviews also highlight the friendly staff, great location near UF and concert spots, and the comfortable beds—a must after standing in a crowd for hours. The free breakfast gets frequent shout-outs, as does the value for the price.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests have noted that the parking lot can fill up quickly on busy nights, so plan to arrive early. Others wished for more on-site dining options after hours—but with a kitchenette and nearby restaurants, that’s easy to work around.

The Bottom Line

Home2 Suites by Hilton Gainesville is a smart, comfortable base for concert-goers wanting easy access to venues, quiet nights, and plenty of space to recharge.

Would definitely stay again

Liked: Hot breakfast was definitely a plus! Make your own breakfast sandwiches and waffles were a hit for the kiddos. Plenty of space in the rooms for the kids and the TV had everything they needed. Pool was clean and no one else was out there so they had it all to themselves. Also always love the app capabilities with online check in/out and digital key.
Disliked: The staff forgot it was a holiday and shut the breakfast down early. However, they did reopen it quickly, apologized for the error, and extended the breakfast time to accommodate anyone who may have missed out. The food came out hot and fresh and was just as great all of the other days.

Shaking my head

Liked: Complimentary bottles of water. The mints upfront. The lobby is super cute. The younger girl with the dreads in a pony tail. The handsanitizer in front of the elevator. One of 3 of the pillow because it felt feathery and fluffy.
Disliked: The loud neighbors next to me. The clicking noise all night long each night. The hearing a thirsty fat frog sound most of the night and Dat. The dirty rug! I feel gross. Woke up itching both nights. Dirty microwave, trash under and behind furniture. Very dirty shower. Showered with my crocs on!!! The ac went on heat all by itself woke up sweating. Called about the ac the first day I arrived and they said one of the units would work eventually just to try to keep working it said they would send out a maintenence man and never did. I finally found out myself that the air in wall is connected to the one on wall. Won't let me adjust it. Still heat by itself or it's freezing to the point where I'm shivering and my body was cold as heck. I hate the heat so badly. The cold is my favorite but it was ridiculously freezing like uncomfortable. Greasy door knobs and front of fridge and freezer finger marks/ smudges. Dirt marks on all 3 towels and one smelled like maple syrup! Ugh I'm so disappointed and disgusted. The staff was quick to get an attitude for nothing. I just smiled and bit my tongue. Only one young girl with dreads in a ponytail was sweet. I didn't want to put a review like this I went and talked to her downstairs and whispered the majority of what I'm stating here that way it stays between staff and not all up on here for everyone to see but Noone has done nothing or reached out she asked if I wanted to switch rooms but whyyyyy would I want to or have to switch rooms I'm exhausted out here for work working all day and lateeeee nights. The rooms should be immaculate. I chose and browsed the internet for a while and decided to pay more money to be in a clean nice environment but I'm definitely uncomfortable the whole time I was here and shame shame shame just two nights. This hotel should notttttt be named after the hilton. I'm sorry but it definitely makes hilton look bad.

I’d stay there again

Liked: Large room, comfortable beds, curtain separation from sleep sofa, full size fridge, desk, plenty of storage would be excellent for longer stay
Disliked: I wish breakfast did not shut down at 9 am on Monday during graduation week. Extend weekend hours when there is a big event during the week

It was good till I...

Liked: Property was clean and very nice
Disliked: The breakfast staff, one lady in particular was rude. When I asked about the different hot foods was “can’t you read and look at them”. Not what I expected from Homes 2 suites by Hilton. That experience ruined me in how she spoke to me.
