Liked: … Location was good!… Loved the heated pool! Wristbands instead of key cards was convenient… the guy who serves food and drinks at the pool was very friendly!
Disliked: … Wish we could have had a balcony to sit out on… kind of skimpy on the shampoo/conditioner and soap… We had to ask for more… wish there were a few rooms with double beds for those who come with a friend…

Liked: location right by the beach
Disliked: they claim to have 24hrs reception but I found myself locked out at 3am because at checkin my card was programmed incorrectly. I spent an hour trying to find ANY STAFF without luck. no one answers the phone, no security over night, nothing. after an hour some lady finally showed up from I dont know where and eventually re-issued me with a new card. no staffing overnight really is a security+safety issue.also they put up big signs asking to bring up issues when they happen, which I did via messaging yet they didnt even bother to respond. so here you go with your bad review as you deserve it.

The Hollywood Beach Hotels staff...

Liked: The actual Hollywood Beach Tower staff were fine. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The man who checked us out was quiet and did not say much; wasn't friendly but wasn't rude. The room was clean, spacious, and nice. It was a very short walk to the beach with plenty of shops and restaurants closeby within walking distance as well.
Disliked: Within this building, Capital Vacations manages the hotel and they were very pushy, rude, and tried to pressure us into a scam. They took up 3 hours of our vacation at the false promises of free airfare or a cruise. We reluctantly agreed to listen to the "90 minute" presentation and were met with a very demanding woman trying to pressure us to put down a $15,000 deposit and pay $1500 a month to receive discounted vacations for a lifetime. When looking them up online, we found that what they promised was not true and it was a scam. It's really irritating and sad that the hotel would let them do this to their guests.Additionally, there was confusion about the booking because I thought I had had paid for breakfast each day and was under the impression that my total cost included a refundable $150 damage deposit. Neither of those appear to be true so there was a misunderstanding between me and the hotel. I also had to pay for a parking fee although we did not have a car and we did not use a parking space.Finally, although I did enjoy the room and would stay in the room again, there was an inventory of items that were supposed to be in the room and four-five of the items were missing. They were not important (except the shower curtain, which they got us), but it was stressful thinking we were going to be charged for them when they were not in our room to begin with.
