Holiday Inn Winnipeg - Airport West By IHG

We came to Winnipeg to see my cousin race at Assiniboia Downs. We loved the motel and services that were offered and also the closeness to the race track. Will come back.

Liked: The rooms and the services. They were excellent all around.
Disliked: Nothing.

Dissatisfaction with the blackmailing extortion...

Liked: The breakfast was not complimentary, so I did not have any.
Disliked: Booking.com and/or the hotel in compliance with booking.com, falsely advised my room rate total, before I reserved online, including taxes, was supposed to be 372 CAD for two nights. Once I reserved, they sent me a false email quoting 232.32 in a different currency entirely. This is an illegal procedure of which the hotel is in compliance with, since I was charged 440 CAD total at the hotel. Upon communicating this to the check in representative, she said I needed to pay this new price, and tomorrow I needed to discuss the false pricing with her manager. And of course if I declined to pay for the room, I would be charged one night accommodation for the initial reservation place online with booking.com. Obviously the hotel is working in tandem with booking.com to fleece their customers.

Overall stay was very good.

Liked: Sorry, we didn't have breakfast, it was closed when we went there.
Disliked: The lounge could have been open at little longer. Lounge area opened to late.

Short and sweet. Really only...

Liked: It was close to the event that we were attending. Booking was fast and easy and didn’t have to wait long for the room.
Disliked: The parking lot is a bit crammed.
