We experienced a very rude...

Liked: The rooms.
Disliked: We stayed here for one night during our return trip and had booked two rooms via Booking.com, as no family rooms were available. The system required us to give all the persons’ names per room.At check-in, we were treated very rudely by a receptionist named S.Because the two rooms were under different names (which the Booking.com system required), he initially found only one reservation. Instead of assisting us calmly or professionally, he called the manager after us showing the confirmation in an irritated tone and blamed us for the confusion. The manager confirmed that both rooms were indeed correctly booked under my husband’s name, yet S. continued the discussion, telling the info we have how we made the reservation was not correct and kept overtalking us, on which sadly my husband had to interrupt S., telling him he does not care about a discussion of point and just wants our rooms.After a 13-hour car journey, this attitude was extremely unhelpful and frustrating, also unprofessional in this job.A very poor first impression and certainly not the welcome guests deserve. We will not be returning. A good tip for S.: when speaking French, don’t forget that people who speak English also might speak French, so there was no use in pointing out we were “enervé” by the misunderstanding — which we would understand if it would be handled professionally, but we were enervé by the way you handled this.

Liked: Good breakfast, New and modern room. 15 min walk from Stanislas square were there is a free light show at night.
Disliked: Although the room was new and clean, it was a bit small compared to other in our trip.

Liked: Easy access. Good bus connections to the city centre of strassbourg.
Disliked: The breakfast was a bit disappointing. If you are allergic to nuts, you have to be careful! The cheese was decorated with walnuts. A no-go in a hotel chain if you ask us.

Liked: Comfort, convenience, customer service.
Disliked: Not enough towels and no ice.

Fine for an overnight stay

Liked: Good location. Close to a bus stop easy access (about 10 minutes) into the city centre. Peaceful room overlooking the lake. Good choice at breakfast.
Disliked: Broken patio door couldn't be fixed so had to be careful when opening. Wasn't advised of the problem when checking in but it was mentioned on check out so the staff were obviously aware. Rooms quite small and dated. Needs updating.

Liked: It’s not in the city centre and ideal if you have a car as there’s quite a big parking space in a quiet area. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: It’s an old hotel so morning light shines through the window easily. There’s no technical personnel to change a flikering light bulb though the Receptionist tried but it was not possible.

Liked: We only had one overnight stay while passing through. The hotel is well located for that, you have everything you need
