Holiday Inn St Louis Downtown/Convention Center by IHG

Needs major improvements to facility.

Liked: Service was excellent, especially the cleaning ladies.
Disliked: Shower curtain was falling from walls (maintenance had to come). Vanity sink drain was leaking onto the floor every time the water was turned on (maintenance had to come). The ironing board would not stay upright (maintenance had to come). There was an extension cord strung across the room to power the light near the chair.

Liked: It was close to downtown
Disliked: The property has absolutely no parking the parking that they suggested was visible that people have been breaking into cars while we were there . There was broken glass that was car windows still scattered all across the parking lot in four different areas. There was also a gentleman that said that his car had been broken into the night before they had no other suggestions for us other than just park there I complain to the staff and she allow me to park in front of the hotel if not we were leaving that’s how unsafe we felt about leaving our car unattended

Disliked: The photos on booking are stock photos. The facility is rundown. So many areas where maintenance has not been done. Broken front door. Broken elevator. The first room I was given had a broken security lock and thermostat. Although I had the thermostat in the second room I moved to set at 72 the room never got below 76. The window faced the interior pool area and the noise echos up to the room. Was kept awake by pool noise until the pool closed at 10 pm. One morning came out to see cars parked on the street all had smashed car windows. I would never stay here again.
