Holiday Inn Resort The Lodge at Big Bear Lake By IHG

My first time there and I would recommend it to everyone. The people that work there are so nice and always ready to help you. I will never forget - I ran into Ted Nugent at the elevator. So awesome - he's a nice man as well! I can't wait to come back!

Disliked: AC was out all over hotel. Room has a slider door, but no screen.

This hotel could be great...

Liked: Very poorly staft.
Disliked: Air conditioning not working. Evidently it hasn't worked for months. Ice machine didn't work on our floor; had to go to another floor for ice.

Not too happy and pricy

Liked: Great location for the yearly car run we've been several times we can walk to and from
Disliked: We were not told in advance that there were no Ac in the certain rooms mid day was very warm I was told I would get a fan and when asked for one it took forever chec in was pleasant check out was not the greatest couldn't get a receipt of any kind and I was told that I would get and email for info on deposit

Liked: Location to all the activities we wanted to do
Disliked: The air conditioning was out in the entire building. It was very uncomfortable. They did supply us with a fan but it did little to cool the room. There was no hot water. It was room temperature at the very least. Due to a fire on the mountain, the power was shut off from midnight till noon on the day after our arrival. The restaurant attached to the hotel was closed because there were only 2 other rooms occupied in the whole hotel. They said they would give us a discount rate but we had to notify Booking.com. How do I report this?

Had a good time in...

Liked: Central location, Located in lovely mountain town. Room was clean, and adequate size with mini fridge and microwave. Staff helpful when asked for assistance with getting luggage up and down the stairs, and explained AC issue to us (though did not know if it or other maintenance was being addressed). .
Disliked: Evidently the property is no longer maintained: The AC wasn’t working (warned on check in and offered refund), pool was cold/unheated, “hot tub” was not even warm. The smoke detector in the room was hanging by cords. There are stairs to navigate to get to the elevator from the lobby, handicap seat in shower was broken. Coffee machine in the room hard to operate. No view of Lake and not set among pine trees.
