Holiday Inn Reading West, Newbury

Nice hotel, and staff.

Liked: Room, clean, tidy and all basic requirements. Let’s face it it was for bed and breakfast one night stay, However already said we’d stay here again if in the area, We thought the evening mean would be a bonus saving us going out, but it wasn’t available. Never mind we drove down to the Angel in Woolhampton after the Bull Inn couldn’t feed us either.
Disliked: Nothing without putting the price up,

Liked: Nissi & Ellie were so welcoming & helpful. Booking.com didn’t send our revised booking date across to the Holiday inn but Nissi & Ellie were very professional & helpful & sorted it out for us. This was a big relief as we were staying for a wedding. Thank you lovely ladies. The room was great. Breakfast was very good too.
Disliked: Booking.com didn’t send our revised hotel booking to the actual hotel to inform them!

Liked: Nice clean furnishings and decor, friendly staff
Disliked: The mattress on the bed was a 'role together' mattress as it was sunk in the middle.

Liked: Very good welcome by staff at reception. All staff very good and welcoming. Breakfast more than adequate.
Disliked: Room service didn’t fully remake beds and refill milk etc.A

Liked: The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff couldn't do enough for us.
Disliked: At breakfast, there was only one staff member who seemed to be struggling to keep up with everything. Although it is a help-yourself buffet, it was minor things like no clean bowls out, the milk was running very low. Tiny things that could easily be improved but overall the breakfaast was amazing with so much choice.

Liked: Location was ideal for purpose of stay, staff very welcoming and food was fantastic.
Disliked: Timings for breakfast could have been displayed in rooms as a reminder. The only times we could find in the room were for eating food in the room, which is different to eating in the restaurant area.
