Holiday Inn - Portland - Columbia Riverfront By IHG

I would not stay at this hotel again. To pay that kind of price per night to stay there and then to not have all of the amenities working is very disappointing.

Liked: Beautiful looking hotel.
Disliked: The TV did not work in our room. When we called the front desk, they said they would send someone up, but no one showed up.

Hotel was very nice & close to Expo Center where we were competing for the weekend. The ad said there was a complimentary breakfast & glass of wine at the end to the day. We travel with athletes & the breakfast is a factor in where we stay. When we checked in & asked they said its only for club level. I never saw that in the ad. That was disappointing & although it was a very nice hotel, for this purpose we won't be back.

I would expect higher end...

Liked: I liked the separate spacious bedroom and the view towards the pool and the river.
Disliked: 1. The noise level was very loud from the airport (airplanes fly directly above hotel) and 3 times during the night there was a loud glasses noise that woke up my kids- probably threw down recycle trash or something similar. I would expect to install better windows and have more sound proof walls for such location and price tag.2. The room is rather outdated- smells pretty dusty and the carpets are very old. Hopefully they remodel this soon so it looks like their modern lobby space.

Liked: Location and the staff was friendly
Disliked: It was old, the bathroom door stuck and it was hard to open and close, massive amount of cobwebs and spiders outside on the balcony, surrounding area was very run down and not the place it used to be.

Underwhelming and stinky. The room...

Disliked: The property smelled like rancid sewer both outside and in. I’m not sure what that was about. We inquired about our ADA room upon check-in and was told it wasn’t available and they didn’t have any other ADA rooms left even though I had messaged ahead of time and gotten a confirmation that we were to be in an ADA room.

Liked: Rachel was a wonderful asset to the restaurant. She was friendly knowledgeable and helpful. The front desk were delightful also.
