Holiday Inn Paris CDG Airport

No air in room, very...

Liked: The room was clean and beds were comfortable.
Disliked: We arrived past midnight and the air conditioner of the room did not work. They could not give us another room because hotel was full. We were 3 people, and the sofa bed was not done and had only 2 towels. The only thing that I was told at check out was "I'm sorry". At least I should have received a credit for this.

Highly overpriced rate - worst...

Disliked: We called the hotel to book. It was already after midnight and our flight was cancelled. They told us straight away that they have no rooms available. Booking.com had rooms. A standard room for 411€, a highly overpriced walk in rate. There were zero amenities available, and we would have needed the toothbrush and comb that you usually get at a four star hotel. There was a sign that said you could ask if you needed anything. The reception was not helpful- we asked for the bill and they said only at checkout. In the morning they told me that they had a system failure, but no one was transparent. Oh, and no breakfast for 411€ - not included in the rate. No taxis in the morning and transfer only if prebooked. Again, no information about this at check-in.

Liked: The best CDG airport hotel, of a fair number that we have used. Clean, modern and relaxing room after a long journey. The receptionist (Karen...) was very welcoming and professional.
Disliked: The only weak point of the hotel, to our taste, was the restaurant. The two different main courses we chose were a bit of a disappointment, spices and accompaniments smothering the taste of the main ingredient, instead of supporting it. The waiter was very fine, good-humoured and energetic.

Liked: Breakfast was as expected and one reason the hotel was chosen.
Disliked: The machine-made coffee was not very good, perhaps the machine needs servicing.

Liked: Clase to the airport. Very clean.
Disliked: At 1 am there where some people playing ping pong outside the hotel. I had to wake up and tell the people in the front desk I couldn't sleep with the noise. In my checkout I couldn't find anybody in the fron desk at 6 am.
