Why Concert-goers love it

Just blocks from some of Montreal’s best-known venues and nightlife spots, this hotel is a great home base for music lovers. The location is quiet at night yet close to the action, and Chinatown and Old Montreal are both walkable for pre-show dinners or post-show snacks. Late check-in at 4 PM is perfect for travelers arriving the day of the show, and the hotel offers easy access to public transportation and ride-share pick-ups.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a central, walkable stay
  • Solo travelers chasing a dream concert in Montreal
  • Couples making a romantic music weekend out of it
  • Fans who want a peaceful night’s sleep after the encore
  • Budget-minded concert-goers who still want quality and location

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant, Chez Chiné, serves gourmet Chinese-inspired cuisine, and there are plenty of walkable dining options in Chinatown and Old Montreal for late bites. While room service isn't 24/7, the central location makes up for it, giving you access to nearby eateries that stay open late. There’s also breakfast available on-site—perfect after a late night out.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel doesn’t host live music, you’re surrounded by buzzing nightlife, with bars, pubs, and lounges just a short stroll away. Whether you’re into craft cocktails or casual beers, there’s something nearby. The hotel bar offers a more relaxed vibe for those looking to wind down without leaving the building.

What People Say

Guests often praise the location and cleanliness, calling it a perfect base for exploring both the city's culture and concert scene. Travelers love the friendly staff, and many reviewers highlight the ease of access to Old Montreal and Chinatown. The pool and sauna are also popular post-show perks.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the property’s decor feels a bit dated in places, and the parking fees can add up. That said, most find the trade-off worth it for the central location and amenities.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to Montreal for a show and want a comfortable, well-located hotel with a touch of luxury, Holiday Inn Montreal Centre Ville Downtown hits all the right notes.

Penelope, Limoges, visiting Le Studio TD

This was the second time I stayed at Holiday Inn Montreal and I love the location - easy walk to old Montreal, 10 minutes or so, with a subway right across the road. Hotel is very clean and quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

Liked: Very clean; good location; front desk staff very courteous.
Disliked: $28.00 a night for parking - I think this is a little too pricey.

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Everything and on top of that we booked with breakfast we added about 40 USD for breakfast while booking to our surprise they said your booking was not with breakfast. Too bad indeed! We need a refund for the extra money we paid

Passable

Liked: Customer service was good, though I wouldn’t rate it as excellent. The highlight was definitely the breakfast — very good quality and worth the $23 per person. The rooms were decent, though the bathroom could have been cleaner. On a positive note, the morning front desk agent was excellent — friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The hotel’s location was also a plus: just a 10-minute walk to the Old Port of Montreal and 5 minutes to the Notre-Dame Basilica.
Disliked: The biggest inconvenience was that the elevators were not working, and we had to climb four floors from the parking garage to the reception. I had read a review mentioning this same issue a week or two before booking, and to my surprise, the elevators were still out of service during my stay.Parking was an additional $22 per night, but after I asked, they kindly waived the fee as compensation for the inconvenience, which I appreciated.
