Holiday Inn Manchester Central Park

This is now not open to public which I only discovered when I pulled up to stay. Utter disgrace not being informed.

Liked: Not a thing.
Disliked: Immigration hotel.

Will certainly stay here again.

Liked: Just perfect for an overnight stay; clean; comfortable; pleasant staff.

Holiday inn and booking.com are...

Liked: Plenty of room in the car park to rebook another stay in a different hotel although getting threatened with a parking fine whilst I was having to book!!
Disliked: The fact that i had no contact as to this booking, holiday inn or booking.com had not tried to rebook us somewhere else. Arriving on the day to find that the hotel was closed and being let out to immigrants wasn’t a great start to a nice weekend!! Having to rebook a different hotel on the day isn’t easy when it’s a bank holiday!! Not happy at all. I am hoping that no charges have been made to my credit cards but yet to check the bills as of yet. Utterly disgraceful.

Bad

Liked: When we got to the hotel the manager said we could not stay here even though we had paid the money as this hotel was for asylum seekers only we had to go find another hotel and pay again we have been trying to fight our case through booking. Com but with no reply we are now seeking action through a solicitor

Disliked: It was closed for asylum seekers and we weren’t told about it!

Liked: Nothing as we didn't get through the front door and had no where to stay!
Disliked: When we arrived we were informed that we no longer had a reservation as the hotel was for asylum seekers, this left us without accommodation and to find elsewhere! We would have appreciated knowing this info before arriving as it was still showing active and confirmed on Booking.com

Distressing to find on arrival...

Liked: We didn’t stay at the property as it was being used as an asylum seekers hotel. Whilst booking.com helped find us alternative accommodation, they haven’t responded to our complaint sent 3wks ago!
Disliked: We arrived at the property only to find out it was being used as an asylum hotel. Booking.com have yet to reply to our complaint sent 3 weeks ago.

Disliked: Booked with booking.com who took payment promptly - but failed to advise that the hotel had been closed for over a year. Still waiting for customer service to get back in contact

Bad

Disliked: Arrived at the hotel to be told that it wasn't open to the public, no warnings from the hotel or booking.com beforehand to say the hotel is no longer in use, just left to arrive to be told by a security guard. Had to book another hotel & drive 40 minutes away.Cancelled the booking but still have a £95 cancellation fee pending. I messaged the hotel & booking.com 3 days ago now & not heard a thing back from any of them, disgusting on both parts
