The free office use was much appreciated.
Liked: Staff extremely kind, helpful, and patient.
Disliked: My room service breakfast wasn't delivered. I called, they said that they tried me but I wasn't there. Then I waited another 1/2 hour and called again. They realized the guy was delivering to the wrong room. Barely had time to eat before leaving.

I definitely plan to stay...
Liked: I loved this hotel for many reasons. First of all, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I showed up before the check-in time, and they were able to hold my bags as well as give me early access to my room when one was ready. Then, when I check out, they held my bags again for me until hours later when I was ready to retrieve them. In addition, the hotel rooms were clean, and I had whatever I needed. If they didn't have what I needed (hand soap, shower cap, etc.), I asked the front desk for it, and they happily accommodated me.My room has a nice king sized bed with a roomy bathroom, a fridge, a microwave, and a Keurig/tea available. Not all hotel rooms have those amenities, so I was very comfortable. The lower east side is a great neighborhood with edge, if you like that. There was a Target, Trader Joe's, Starbucks, subway lines, the Williamsburg Bridge, restaurants, bars, a speakeasy with live jazz music on Mondays around the corner, and the Essex Market all within proximal walking distance. Finally, I felt the price was affordable given it's in Manhattan. I loved the neighborhood and pretty much spent my entire vacation in it since I didn't feel to go anywhere else as I've visited NYC many times and didn't come for tourist attractions. If you're coming for tourist attractions, though, you can easily get to them via the subway. For me, it was ideal. I gave it a 9 out of 10 as I feel there is always a room for a little bit of improvement. I will definitely be coming back here for future trips.
Disliked: Although I really liked it, I had a room with a street view, which was noisy. The other thing that would have made it better is if their bar/restaurant were on their rooftop instead of their basement. However, this would probably raise the overall price of the hotel, which is one reason I chose the place (its affordability).
