too high expectations

Liked: basic breakfast, but OK. hotel bar was nice.
Disliked: 1st room was small, dirty, old, noisy and too warm, no airco. upgrade room still small, refurbished bathroom, cleaner and with (noisy) airconditioning. Windows couldn't be opened more than 10mm due to wrongly installed retainer. Hotel is outdated. superficial improvements only.

Very poor cleanliness, level 2...

Liked: Staff were decent friendly. Even the guy I complained to about the room sorted it pretty quickly. Air con in second room was working well
Disliked: Very poor levels of cleanliness, found some ladies underwear in one of drawers as soon as we got in the room ! Should have walked out but after driving over 6 hours and arriving at 12am with two kids was too tired to find another place and just needed to sleep, so asked for a room swap as this room has clearly not been cleaned.The photos show a pretty modern clean refurbed rooms, we got a dilapidated, tired room that hadn't been updated for a long time. Stained curtains, Torn bed fabrics, rough dirty carpets, small grotty bathroom. The bathroom had mastic/silicone just plastered all over cracks, joints and taps etc.. I'm really surprised at the positive reviews I'm thinking maybe level 2 is just an old unfurnished part of the hotel ? The pictures look nothing like the rooms on level 2. I think the mistake I personally made was not realising at this price point you only get a very basic budget stay in greater London, but you would at least expect a basic level of cleanliness. looking back would have happily payed more for a better hotel. Lucky we were just passing through.I'm summary don't expect much, if you can pay more and avoid this place until they give the place a decent refurb.Rant over !

Expensive for less than average...

Liked: Was located ideally for my purpose
Disliked: The suite was nothing like those advertised. It was as close to a standard room as possible with little free space. The room was dated and in poor condition. There was mould in the bathroom and in particular the shower curtain was so mouldy it needed replacing.

We used the hotel as...

Liked: Good sized room. Staff so lovely, very helpful and friendly. TV in room big, lots of apps. Swimming pool nice.
Disliked: Car park is small, tight spaces. Only two plug sockets in rooms.

The location was really good...

Liked: The location
Disliked: The tv kept going off. No signal. I was travelling alone and really needed it.

Liked: Spacious family room, helpful staff, goodie bag given to kids on check out
