Liked: When I got to the Luton Airport Holiday Inn hotel at around midnight after a late night flight from Cyprus I was told the hotel had overbooked and that despite having booked weeks ago through booking.com they did not have a room for me. Shocking. The man in reception said he would find another hotel nearby for me and that Holiday Inn would pay for it. I said I have already paid for a room here. I was extremely angry and upset, I was tired after a 4.5 hour flight and just wanted to rest.
Disliked: When I got to the Luton Airport Holiday Inn after midnight I was told my pre-booked room via Booking.com was not available because the hotels computer booking system had overbooked the rooms. Appalling. I had just come in on a flight from Cyprus and was very tired and just wanted to get some rest. The cold attitude of the staff, not friendly and welcoming at reception, just coldly professional. Perhaps they had to deal with a lot of angry customers that night if their so called computer booking system had "overbooked the rooms". Perhaps this is normal for the Holiday Inn at Luton Airport. I certainly wouldn't advise anyone to book this hotel in advance through booking.com. There's no guarantee that a room will be available for you when you get there!The hotel they booked me into at Luton was a much smaller boutique hotel, very nice, but cheaper than the Holiday Inn. I would like to know if this "overbooking" happens alot at Luton Airport Holiday Inn. if so it is a great money making scam for them. By rebooking at full price and then sending pre-booked customers to a cheaper hotel.

Liked: The hotel was our best option. Close to the airport.
Disliked: Minor issues as we had to buy EU plugs to charge phones. Should be complementary.

Liked: The staff was very helpful, pleasant, and friendly. The hotel is close to the airport.
Disliked: It would have been a little easier if there was a shuttle bus service to and from the airport.
