Holiday Inn London - Kensington High St.

Good hotel and location.

Liked: Room and location fine, would stay again. Offered upgrade to suite for a £10 discount. We took this up but the superb customer service action would have been spontaneously to make this complimentary, given the suite was available and not going to be occupied. Staff very helpful and courteous.
Disliked: Service charge in bar area is thin end of the wedge. Also there should be an option for a continental breakfast instead of a 'one price covers all' - ok for full breakfast but ridiculously expensive for cereal and toast. Shower shield leaked water onto the floor.

We liked the location because...

Liked: The location and friendliness of all the staff
Disliked: The bathroom and shower were very narrow and tight. No conditioner for after shampooing. The tour bus that was recommended by the concierge was quite frustrating.

Superb

Liked: The staff were amazing and so we're the facilities. Easy to get to Paddington and to tourist attractions.
Disliked: There was a buzzing noise from some sort of generator but room was changed

Exceptional

Hotel is nice, great location...

Liked: Despite booking a twin room they provided a small double. Therefore, myself and my 14 year old needed to share. Despite a request, there were none available. Disappointing between Booking.com and IHG with both blaming each other.
Disliked: Just the fact we were sold a twin but provided a small double. It made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

Very good

Liked: Friendly and very helpful staff. Comfy beds. Very quiet at night. Lovely breakfast. Near to tube.
