Holiday Inn Lancaster

Nice and comfortable.

Liked: Big hotel with lots of rooms and good facilities
Disliked: Very busy dining room. Had to with around 10 minute for clean plates to arrive before one could enjoy breakfast. Once they arrived, had to wait another 10 minutes for beans and eggs.

Emergency stopover from storm hit...

Liked: Location and 24hr reception were essential to us and this was perfect.
Disliked: A little tired, but on par with price paid.

Ideal spot to break a...

Liked: Honoured my request for quiet room. Very friendly on arrival.

Very good

Liked: Staff were friendly and accommodating, however we made several calls to reception to order room service or ask questions and no one ever answered .. the rooms were great however we did find a false nail in one room and also very heavy cobwebs in another .. making us reluctant to use the very dusty air con units . Other than that we can't complain .. location was perfect just off the M6 and what stop over hosts a pool and jacuzzi? Will return if ever on the way up the road again . Thank you holiday Inn

Convenient location

Liked: Perfect location for visiting friends. Breakfast is good. Once our room was changed we had a comfortable cleaner stay. Good customer service.
Disliked: The bedroom received on arrival had not been fully serviced and cleaned, previous guests hair, shower gels etc and bins not emptied so we had to ask to be moved. The overall condition of the hotel in the hallways, carpets and around the lifts looks like it could do with some thorough cleaning.

Liked: Our stay at Holiday Inn Express at Lancaster was absolutely exceptional.Staff were wonderful, rooms were lovely and food (both for choice+quality) was really excellent.Really good spot, easy road access and parking.
Disliked: There was absolutely nothing to complain about----5 stars!

Eventually better than expected

Liked: Eventual room we received was good. The dinner buffet was very good and excellent value. At the back of the hotel was an enjoyable walk by the river. Breakfast food was good for the most part.
Disliked: The first room offered smelt of cigarettes. We complained and this was changed for a better room. Breakfast was very busy and would benefit from more staff to clear tables and replenish buffet food.
