Holiday Inn Houston S - NRG Area - Med Ctr By IHG

You can't sleep closer to NRG, unless you camp out in their parking lot. Very convenient, with their own entrance into the NRG property. Easily walked.

Liked: Very friendly. Rooms are nice and comfy.
Disliked: They are currently remodeling, so there is some construction noise, but they warned us there would be.

Great location and accessible to downtown area, restaurants, theatre, etc. The price was great for the quality.

Liked: Hotel was older but very Clean and comfortable… great pricing, nice breakfast buffet and hotel staff was truly kind… went above the normal providing the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. Especially the breakfast serving staff. We travel to Houston often and we will be returning!

Disliked: I stayed at this hotel in June 2025 and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience with the follow-up service. After my stay, I contacted the hotel multiple times to request an itemized receipt for university reimbursement purposes, but I received no helpful response. Although the booking was made and paid for through Booking.com, the hotel could not provide any proper documentation, and they didn’t even issue a receipt to Booking.com. This made the reimbursement process unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. I expected much better customer service and cooperation from a professional establishment. I do not recommend this hotel for business travelers or anyone needing proper receipts for official purposes.

Disliked: The room looks like if their from the 80's, carpet smelled, ugly bathrooms very outdated, I almost left didn't want to put my grandkids through this nonsense, I always booked holiday in. Express. Which are awesome, I've stayed all over the country in holiday in express This holiday inn must be from the Houston Oilers era. Nasty. Never again will I book there. Check my email. Elevators also smelled bad.

It was clean and quiet.
