Good family getaway

Liked: The hotel was clean. Check in was quick. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area was alot of fun for the kids. However, it did seem to get a little too full on the weekend, which isn't surprising. It just felt a little gross with so many kids around, again, not surprising as it is a kids Waterpark. My kids LOVED it, so that's all that matters! Alayna and Mary the lifeguards were very sweet and helpful!
Disliked: The pool being rented out to non-guests for birthday parties. It just seemed overcrowded for the hotel guests. The big kids (over 8) liked to get a little rowdy in the younger kids splash area.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful from booking, check-in until check-out. Enjoyed water park area.
Disliked: Elevators kept stopping at every floor and squeaked with movement. Water pressure (was on 4th floor) was outrageous and could not use shower for kids because the water pressure would have hurt them. The faucet handle on the sink was broken off in the room. The pool area was cooler than appropriate and had pizza floating in the pool.

Disliked: I attempted to modify my reservation due to having more guests than the confirmed reservation. I was unable to due so until check in when I arrived. I reserved a King room with sofa bed online, upon check in I was given a King room. The front desk attendant was slow and did not give any direction as to where anything was located. In the room, the toilet was not working properly, and the shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold. Upon check out my debit card was charged an additional $52 dollars- assuming for having 2 additional guests versus the original booking, which I was not informed when I originally asked if it would be a problem with 2 additional guests. If in the area again- we will choose a different hotel.

Exceptional

Liked: Front desk staff were great!! Room was clean and comfortable. Grandkids enjoyed the Waterpark. Close enough to Alliant Energy Center which was our reason for being in Madison.
Disliked: Waterpark closes at 9 pm. A little early to take full advantage of this amenity.

Didn’t get to swim as...

Liked: Nice location
Disliked: Lifeguards said that someone puked in the pool so they shut the water park down early.
