The Spotlight on Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Denver Tech Center-Centennial By IHG

Comfortable, modern stay in Denver’s Tech District

Modern and well-equipped, the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Denver Tech Center-Centennial By IHG offers a reliable, relaxed stay in Centennial—roughly 14 miles from downtown Denver’s biggest music spots. With contemporary rooms, a welcoming lounge, and perks like an indoor pool and hot tub, it’s a solid home base for concert-goers who want comfort without the downtown buzz.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel puts you close enough to Denver’s major venues like the Pepsi Center and Union Station—each about 16 miles away—without the late-night noise of the city center. Express check-in means you can drop your bags and dash to the show, and the indoor hot tub is a great perk for unwinding after standing room only. With staff available around the clock and a business center for last-minute printing (think tickets!), it’s built for convenience.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a clean, dependable place with shared spaces to relax
  • Solo travelers catching a dream show and wanting quiet after the crowd
  • Couples on a weekend concert getaway
  • Fans preferring a peaceful recovery space after a loud night
  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting easy access to venues without downtown prices

Food and Drink Options

On-site dining makes life easy, including a bar and restaurant for pre- or post-show meals. While 24/7 room service isn’t available, there are vending machines with snacks and drinks for late-night cravings. Breakfast is available onsite, perfect for sleeping in and refueling after a big night out.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is on the quieter side, there’s a bar on-site for a casual drink. If you’re looking to keep the night going, you’ll find plenty of nightlife options just a short drive away in downtown Denver—from buzzing bars to intimate music lounges.

What People Say

Guests love the cleanliness and overall comfort of the rooms, with many noting the friendly staff and easy parking. The indoor pool and hot tub get rave reviews, especially for relaxing after a concert. Travelers also appreciate the quiet suburban location, making it easy to rest after a loud night out.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the hotel’s location requires a car or rideshare for venue access—public transit options are limited. There’s also no 24/7 food service, so plan ahead if you're prone to post-show hunger pangs. But overall, these are small trade-offs for a peaceful stay.

The Bottom Line

A clean, quiet, and comfy stay just outside the city—ideal for concert-goers who want to catch the show and still get a good night’s sleep.

Not enjoyable. Do not get...

Disliked: The staff was completely rude. Maybe they are upset with their bosses?? I’ve stayed at many IHG Holiday Hotels. This one was bad. The site seems a little run down. A lot of exterior lights were out. Not properly maintained. I get that they are struggling, but still?

If they are not going...

Liked: It was clean.
Disliked: There were no curtains, aside from a see-through linen. On the building across the street was a huge bright sign that lit up our room the entire night. Awful. They should install darker curtains to keep the light out. The main reason I get a hotel room is so I can sleep somewhere, but good sleep was impossible. If they are not going to install darker curtains they should leave eye shades in the room.

One nighter by semi locals....

Liked: Paid for the breakfast. It was pretty basic. Nice to be able to eat in the hotel.
Disliked: I asked for a quiet room but was met with fairly loud stomping across room above for quite a while. Didn't sleep well.
