Liked: It’s now tainted by my experience with the breakfast management staff on our second morning. Debbie the first morning was friendly and kind. Such a shame when one person can ruin an experience.
Disliked: The Duty Manager on Site Lucy was very rude and unprofessional to me. She came across and immature and defensive. To name just one thing she said, she told me it was illegal to display fruit at breakfast on weekends when I asked could she bring back the dried banana she put in the kitchen for my husband. I emailed Management to let them know what happened. No response. Very disappointing.

Great location for business

Liked: Didn't enjoy my stay here.
Disliked: Booked a twin room with twin beds, received a double with (uncomfortable) sofa bed, sofa bed wasn't made up. Was told that as I booked with booking.com they can't guarantee the room I booked! and that they don't make extra beds up until they know it is needed! 12.5% service charge on all drinks at the bar, this wasn't mentioned anywhere, just automatically added. In my opinion this is wrong and should be stopped, I wasn't approached by a team member to take a drinks order, I went to the bar. I might start charging my customers for turning up for an appointment. Will not stay here again. Some staff were friendly and helpful though and I would like to tip if I feel it is appropriate not be forced to.

Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly with accommodating travel with an infant.
Disliked: Sofa beds were very uncomfortable resulting in a lack of sleep.. Food in the restaurant was poor quality and over priced.. Corn on the cob was served cold, steak was tough and chewy, fish was poor quality and batter hard. However the waitresses were helpful

Disliked: Facilities are quite poor for such an expensive hotel. Cost me £162 with parking, no heating in room, rooms are very small, shower didn’t work, tea facilities very poor and breakfast on weekend finishes at 10.30. You also have to pay for parking even if you are a hotel guest
