Family-friendly stopover in Gloucester!

Liked: Lovely welcoming staff after a long journey, and they even gave our little boy a goodie pack! We swam twice while there and the facilities were very clean and again the staff on the spa desk were very friendly when explaining everything.Breakfast was great with lots of choice and plenty of staff refilling any items that had been depleted. This was a stopover for us on our way to Somerset to break up a long journey, but we would 100% return if back in the area.

Not bad, but not good...

Liked: Room was clean, big car park, facility to charge an electric car.
Disliked: Room was too small. At a 4-star hotel I'd expect a comfortable chair, but there wasn't enough room for one. Plenty of radio and TV channels, but bizarrely we couldn't access BBC radio 4. When we arrived there were no staff in either Reception or the bar, and no way of calling them - we just had to wait.

Liked: Breakfast was okay, the staff on duty were good.
Disliked: On arrival we were 30 mins early the receptionist was not very welcoming told us to come back in 30mins which is fair enough but she could have been friendlier .Dissopointed about paying £5 to park would rather they add it on the room.
