I will never stay at...

Disliked: First off the minute you walked into the facility the smell of mold hits you. I was hardly greeted by the staff working that afternoon. I specifically booked this hotel because in the details it stated free parking and breakfast. To my dismay,I had to call and ask about breakfast to find out it was not included in the booking of this hotel. The hallways smelled of cleaning products which almost changed my mind until we opened our room door to the smell of mold again. It hit you in the face and was everywhere, even our pillow smelled odd. We traveled 4 hours from our home to not have an inviting atmosphere or room and to not be offered a free breakfast when I paid over $100 for ONE NIGHT at this hotel.

Liked: Ac didnt work and had a live roach in the room called 3 times to speak to manager havent gotten a call back that was days ago

As I said, thank goodness...

Liked: The property was set up nicely and it was in a good location…not too far from all the activities but far enough that you aren’t into the middle of all the traffic and noise.The front desk staff were very nice and tried their best to get the accommodations right as we had several issues. I called before we arrived and the General Manager let me know that we could check in early since we were going to be arriving early.
Disliked: When we walked in, the front lobby smelled odd. We couldn’t quite describe the smell. It was probably something sprayed or applied to try to cover up the smell from the rooms. The rooms smelled of mildew and was really musty. The carpet, by the a/c unit, was soaked in one of the rooms and you could tell that the carpet in the other room had been wet before as it was stained. We were able to move from the room with the wet carpet but not the other one that smelled of mildew. So, we were having to smell the horrid smell all night. The one room that we got moved to didn’t have shampoo or wash in the shower and wasn’t noticed until in the shower. One of the rooms was supposed to be a handicap room but the rooms were both the same. They said that they did not have a roll in shower but gave us a shower chair. My elderly father had to be very careful not to fall while taking a shower. My kids went swimming for a bit but came back and said that the pool was full of some sort of paper. They really didn’t know what kind of paper it was. Very disappointing that the pool wasn’t even clean. I did asked for sheets for both of the pull outs, as they were not in the closets. When I was putting the sheets on the bed, I noticed that they were stained and the pillow case was ripped.We arrived a little before breakfast was shutting down and the staff was far from pleasant. One lady stated, “You get what you get because I’m done cooking.” We were definitely not asking her to make any special accommodations for us as we knew that we were getting there later than intended. I was so disappointed with this stay as Holiday Inns are usually a good hotel to stay at. Thank goodness it was only an overnight stay because we definitely could not have stayed another night there.
