Holiday Inn Express Winston-Salem

Clean spacious rooms. Nice lobby and facilities. Very nice pool area. Plenty of eating nearby the location. Overall very nice and affordable.

A modestly priced, no-frills hotel...

Liked: The Hotel was in an excellent location btw downtown W-S and the expressways. The room was well maintained and very comfortable. Hadn't slept that well in a while. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good, but not stellar. Most importantly, the the coffee was strong.
Disliked: A complaint I have with most hotel rooms - they're freezing when you first get in. But, the thermostat was easy to manage and we slept very well.

Overall, the stay was excellent....

Disliked: We left for a few hours and came back to a ton of fire ants.

Liked: Very nice staff. Room was very nice and super clean. Only 1 problem something was going on with the plumbing. It was a stank aroma coming from the toilet and bathroom.
