Liked: Fantastic location, wonderful view of the river, SUPER friendly, hard-working staff, terrific included breakfast with a lot of options that were kept fully stocked all morning, quiet, even with a travel softball team staying and lots of families with little kids, nice little touches like free cookies, 24 hour coffee, Tim Horton’s k-cups in the rooms, very comfortable beds with one firmer pillow and one softer pillow for each person. Nominal parking fee compared to other large cities.

Liked: The location was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The place has a kind of hospital-like or rehab facility feel in the lobby and breakfast area. Maybe it’s the decor. The shower came out as a trickle but maybe that’s environmentally friendly.

Stalked and threatened at Holiday...

Liked: The kitchen staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to help us.
Disliked: We felt stalked and unsafe throughout our stay at Holiday Inn Riverview Express at Windsor. A security guard in a suit followed our group multiple times—including the women, in the hallways, parking lot, dining area, and even when our ladies were hanging out in front of the hotel building. His aggressive behavior, combined with the hotel manager’s threats to call the police anytime we spoke up, made the experience terrifying.Despite raising valid concerns, the manager dismissed us, security interfering and saying "I don’t care "—in an IHG hotel. Every attempt to communicate was met with threat. The security guard almost always stood just inches away from us, constantly interfering and asserting dominance, as if he controlled the entire operation. His influence over the front desk staff was disturbing—they acted like a coordinated group, denying prior room confirmations and threatening police involvement if we raised our voices. They didn't care about our booking requests and phone calls.Only the kitchen staff were great and very helpful.This was a disgraceful and scary experience—by far the worst in over 15 years of hotel stays in Ontario. The manager and the security guard must be removed from all IHG properties This was a disgrace.

Liked: The staff was SO friendly. Every time we encountered one of them from the front desk to the room cleamers , everyone smiled and said hello. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was yummy!
Disliked: The $20 parking fee wasn't great, and then there was also an extra charge on my credit card (very minimal, only $3), but I wasn't sure what it was for and also I didn't really notice it until we had left and were almost home.
