First and foremost we were coming from Boston to NY and drove about 3 hours. When we called around 10AM to see if we could get an early check in we were advised that they were booked last night and couldn't accommodate. When we asked if when we got there we were able to see if we could check in early the receptionist advised that early check in would be a $75 fee which we have never heard of. Once we arrived to the hotel around 12:30 we were met with another unpleasant interaction with the front desk staff just flat out telling us we couldn't check in until 3. It was the lack of empathy or customer service that made this an unpleasant interaction. This information was provided in a 'oh well, too bad' manner. We drove around Queens for 3 hours and was finally able to check in. Later that night we were having trouble with the Chromecast feature on the TV and called the front desk to see if there was anything they could do. We were also met with an unpleasant interaction with the front desk saying it doesn't work and has nothing to do with them. We were advised to watch something on TV ( mind you they have the worst channels so there was absolutely nothing to watch) or we could buy a movie. We went to bed. The guy who checked us out was the most pleasant part of our stay. I will never stay here again.
Liked: It was clean.
Disliked: Rude front desk staff; nothing on TV and Chromecast didn't work.

Quiet Neighbourhood but Superb Stay...
Liked: Staff were quite friendly but perhaps one or two struggled with English a little.10 minute walk to Subway and the 7 train took us 15 minutes to get to grand central terminalBooked for a Family of 5 - The king room had a nice tidy big bed, tidy and clean sheets serviced everyday and there was a walk in shower. The Two double beds room was just as good.Air conditioned roomsRoom windows are sound proof which is good if facing Queens BLVDSockets were US mostly but there were USB port chargers and one of the lamps on the table had two sockets for 3-pin Irish phone chargers.Breakfast was nice and filling in the morning, eat as much as you like. Coffee/Decaff/ Hot water dispenser. Cold water & Apple & Orange a juice machine. Scrambled eggs one day and Cheese Omelette another day along with turkey bacon and turkey sausage. Bread, butters, jams, bagels, muffins, hot cinnamon roll, yoghurt fridge, fruits, cereals and oatmeal
Disliked: The two double beds room bathroom unfortunately had a not so great looking bathtub and shower and curtain so it was not as good to use and floor got wet easily. The walk in shower like the king room had was easier to use.
