Liked: lots of room & nicer than average seating in the room
Disliked: it's not about the hotel but the neighbourhood is a bit sketchy (lots of people hanging out on the streets, and also lots of piles of garbage near them during the day, for several blocks)

Liked: wonderful staff and plentiful breakfast. well located in the city, affordable, MICROWAVE in the room was AMAZING. could order food from outside easily, which is greatly appreciated. subterranean parking was bountiful.
Disliked: wasn't clear on where to park to check in. mini fridge in my room was left open so it wasn't cold, some few suspicious stains on the chair in my room. walls/doors aren't very well isolated, could hear people from the halls and neighbouring rooms a bit too much.

excellent hotel

Liked: I loved feeling so welcome! Many thanks to the reception staff and all the people in charge of breakfast, always attentive to everything and very friendly.The hotel is impeccable and the wifi works very well throughout the hotel. The room was excellent, the view of the city is incomparable! The bed was very comfortable with delicate cotton sheets and a very good shower.

I would not recommend this...

Disliked: Hated the off site parking and knowing about this until we were checking in. Air conditioning in room was very loud.

Liked: Felt very safe. Large, clean rooms and excellent coffee!
Disliked: Parking is quite tight but reasonably priced.The community hub across the street is tough to see but the people generally stayed to themselves

Liked: Lovely clean and spacious room, small swimming pool and fitness centre. More than adequate breakfast included.
Disliked: Location definitely not the best, did not bother us and Uber is available for any guests who are uncomfortable walking in the area.

Liked: Hi - staff were great and helpful with questions. Central location close to main sites.
Disliked: Holiday Inn Express Suites needs to be much more green for environmental care and concern. A small visual in rooms sharing your care for the environment and the option to not have your room cleaned and to reuse towels saves a lot of resources and is good for our planet that is experiencing a climate crisis. Too much plastic: rooms - plastic sleeves on paper cups, plastic drinking cups. Breakfast has an inordinate amount of unnecessary plastic: individual peanut butter, jam, and honey containers. Disposable plates - could use real plates, disposable cups - could use real cups. Many ways to green your breakfast! Offer compostable bins for banana peels, apple cores, etc. The climate crisis is upon us - Holiday Inn Express Suites needs to take immediate action to demonstrate their care and concern for our environment!
