Avoid this hotel, especially if...
Liked: Breakfast. That's it.
Disliked: This was the worst experience at a Holiday Inn EVER. If I could give zero stars I would. Staff, including a manager and a security guard, are unprofessional and rude. The pictures on the hotel site do not show a realistic picture of the property. It appears to have more ample parking than it actually does. When my husband and I arrived at the hotel, we quickly realized that parking our Uhaul truck and trailer was going to be a little more difficult than we thought. There were other Uhauls parked sideways along the perimeter of the lot, which left us no space around the perimeter. There was a back row of about 8 empty spaces. So my husband parked along those spaces and my husband and I went to check in. The young lady at check in knew we parked there, because when we went inside to check in we told her.. We were even asked by her to write our make and model down as, "Uhaul and trailer". After going back to the truck to make sure it was secure for the night and to gather our personal items, a security guard approached us. He said the truck was too big and that we could not park it that way. His approach to the entire situation was off-putting and rude. We weren't trying to double park at some night club or bar. But the way he approached us in the lot and spoke to us like a bouncer, that's what it felt like. I explained that there we had already checked in and the deal clerk was aware. I then pointed to 2 other Uhaul trucks in the lot, including one that was the same size as our truck, minus the trailer. He said he had just gotten to work (we arrived around 8:30pm) to see all of the trucks in the lot and none of us should be there. I asked what his solution was to the problem and he didn't know. Just kept repeating that we couldn't park inside the lot. He called the manager on FaceTime who was IN BED to consult. She said we could park on a closed side of the gate, then changed her mind.
