Liked: Location perfect near base
Disliked: Cleanliness was ok, for what I paid and the name I expected better; as Holiday Inn is usually my go to place to stay.Couch was very worn, cushions very cracked and really wouldn't sit on it.Look up at the ceiling and smoke detector is gone! Only thing remaining was the base attached to the ceiling and wires hanging down.TV remote, well, what else is there to do in your room but watch TV and as small as it may seem, the remote had only a few buttons that worked.When you travel 10 hours to see a loved one in the Marines I at least want comfort........

Best option in Havelock

Liked: The staff were very friendly and they had a decent sitting area outside the second floor elevator that was useful for getting some work done while my family was in the room.
Disliked: It was run down and sloppy fixes in the bathroom made it feel dingy. The town itself was not an option for the purpose of our trip but was not a location I would choose willingly and will not stay in again. It didn’t feel unsafe but was what my husband would call an “armpit” town. We did not know the area and our daughter was doing training at the military base. Now that we are familiar with the area we would travel 15min closer to the beach where the area is much nicer.

Disliked: the furniture was very worn and dated.

Comfortable, pleasant.

Liked: Breakfast - great. Has a navel plane museum behind the property. Staff - super nice. Clean room.
Disliked: Small indoor pool. 30/40 minutes from beaches of Emerald Isle. Though this part is no fault of the hotel, unless you’re into bar hoping, everything everywhere seems to close at 9/10pm.

Liked: The location is good and the staff was great!
Disliked: The mattress for the pull out bed was so uncomfortable and the room it's self was very outdated.

Weekend getaway

Liked: I like the location, it was quiet. It has an indoor pool which was good in case of the rain. The breakfast was nice. The room was big and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The elevator is located in the lobby. There is a business area for printing, laundry room with one washer one dryer and an ice machine. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a snack bar.
Disliked: The cable isn't good due to not a lot to watch, the charging stations need updating and the breakfast menu could be more choices.
