Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fort Worth Downtown By IHG

My daughter and I made a fast trip to Dallas to IKEA and The Container Store then drove to Fort Worth to the hotel. Parked the car and did not have to move it again until we headed home, thanks to the shuttle service. Went to the KIMBALL before checking out - thanks again to the shuttle. Until checking out I did not realize there was a daily $10.00 parking fee. But worth it when the shuttle service is there.

Liked: Shuttle service. Breakfast. Staff.
Disliked: Noisy bathroom light/fan combination. One bed too close to the wall - less than four inches from the wall where the thermostat is located.

Disliked: 20 dollars for unsecured parking, 9 dollars for a beer and had to drive to get something to eat

Disliked: I came in pretty late at 10:15pm. Two people were at the counter one on her phone but never really looked up and the other individual was quite pleasant who greeted me. I was asked a very odd question as to what was the reason I was staying at this hotel. When I said just an overnight stay, the other individual who paid me no mind, raised her head and said excuse me. What did you say in a rude way. I repeated my statement and she stared at me then continued on her phone. The bathrooms are tiny and the rooms appear to need a makeover. The bed and location of the hotel were ok.

Liked: The staff here are absolutely wonderful. Very kind, answered all my questions and offered assistance with recommendations
Disliked: The hotel was so hot. It was as if there was no AC in the hallways. The elevator jumps when it starts to move. The hallway sign said there was vending but it was just an ice machine. Very odd that guests have to pay to park on property. The bathroom had no soap at the counter... just body wash

Disliked: It was nasty. The pool water was yellow. The shower water was too hot! The cold water wasn’t working. Cockroaches in the rooms! No parking!
