Holiday Inn Express Strathclyde Park M74 Jct 5

Was very impressed with everything about my stay here and will be back. Can I also mention 2 members of staff on nightshift - Terry and Allan - they made us feel very welcome and were very friendly - they are a credit to your company and I will be back.

Disliked: They could put a vacuum in the bathroom - then there wouldn't be a constant smell and the staff wouldn't have to clean it all the time, because that way the water wouldn't dry up in the bathroom after a shower

Liked: Room was spacious, clean and well-equipped. I loved all the design features. The breakfast was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay!
Disliked: The car park is policed by one of those parking companies that add a layer of fear and unpleasantness to any stay. You input your reg number and hope you didn't make a mistake and you won't get a horrible letter in a few weeks. It's so unwelcoming. There must be a better way to run a car park?

Lovely staff and breakfast

Liked: Staff were amazing especially the manager on duty. Very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was superb. Room was clean and fresh. Perfect for a stop over on a long haul journey which is what we were doing. We are planning back again for a fishing trip and a longer stay. :) Lovely cleaner on duty at breakfast who did an amazing job. :)
Disliked: Couldn't have a travel cot and the sofabed down at the same time meaning my son would have had to sleep on the sofabed as a sofa and barely fit. This was for fire safety regulations which is understandable and he still had a great time. Lift was out of order but staff offered to take bags up the stairs for us and help with the pram. Once again staff went above and beyond. :)
