Great stay. Friendly staff.

Liked: Hot breakfast. Nice clean room. Helpful staff.
Disliked: Rear parking lot felt rundown. Kind of a hike to the hotel entrance. The lot was not well identified either.

Banging Breakfast

Liked: The location of the hotel was perfect for taking a trip into D.C. everything was clean & breakfast ROCKED!!! The staff was nice & the entire hotel smelled amaaaaazing. (Idk what cleaner they use, but it works &&&& smells GR8.) Good size pool & the lifeguard (the female 1) was really sweet. She even played volleyball with her n the pool, lol. My vehicle messed up on the last dang day we were there (checkout day). I had to find a dealership (extended warranty) to diagnose it & fix it if it could b fixed. I told the gentleman at the front desk (that was the only time I'd seen him there. Older gentleman) what was going on & asked if we could get an extension on the already late checkout. He told me that it was no problem because they weren't fully booked & didn't need the room ASAP & that we could stay till 1. (There's a whole other story about dealing with the dealership but just know if was wonderful also). The dealership got my truck fixed at about 15 minutes to 1 so I hurried back to the hotel (it was like a 5 minute trip). I called the family omw back & told them to come down so that we'd b out of the room b4 1. When I got back, I raaaaan inside to the front desk to let the guy know that my family was on the way down & we were out of the room b4 1. He informed me that it was tooootally ok, they weren't gonna charge anything anyways since it was an emergency.
Disliked: I used Booking to book the room & used a pay later option when I booked the room. When I got to the hotel they asked for my card & I thought it was for the security deposit. Well it turns out that they charged me twice fir the room. Once I realized it I went down to let them know. Upon digging around the clerk realized what happened & they'd refund it when the manager got there. Well, 2 days later I still hadn't gotten the refund. I asked them about it & was told they refunded it that morning & it was up to the bank to actually issue it. I figured the bank would take at least a day to do it. When the money wasn't there, I called the bank & they told me that it was issued, but not released by the hotel yet. (I have noooo clue what that was about. Aaaaanyways, I finally got the refund. The point of this dislike is that I was charged twice, but they fixed it. Just make sure if u use a different payment option that they know that b4 checking n. Aother complaint is about the pool hours. It's only from 3pm to 8pm. I asked them y it was like that & she told me that it's because the lifeguard is contracted out & they make the hours. Idk if it's a lawsuit thing to have a lifeguard but we've stayed n hundreds of hotels with pools & have never had a lifeguard there. There's usually a sign with warnings & not being responsible for anything, (basically, swim at ur own risk which is tooootally fine with us). Idk how much they're paying for a lifeguard but it's money spent that's not needed imho. Just put a sign up that cya & open it up at like noon or something. It was hot as crap there & a dip n the pool would've been gr8. The room was too small for 2 double beds & there was no microwave n there. I think they did the rooms for quantity nor quality. I'm NOT saying the room sucked, it was just too small for a family of 4 with 2 youngsters.
