Holiday Inn Express Southampton - M27 J7

Liked: Friendly staff; easy to park; made to feel welcome; nice rooms; good breakfast.
Disliked: None.

Booked a double bed room - had double bed and sofa bed made up so no room to move. They did take it down eventually. Breakfast was called an economical breakfast as they were busy - no fried eggs! Premier Inn is much much better value. Was horrendous - £250 just to sleep. Never again.

Lovely hotel, great room and...

Liked: Great location for us as we had travelled down from Manchester to go on a cruise so it was a nice break and only a short drive in the morning. Great facilities including dinner without reservations and breakfast in the morning. Nice place to sit out the back. The staff were fab and very helpful! Gave us extra pillows and cover and helpful for any questions we had!
Disliked: The only thing I could say is the back area was open for people to go onto the main road at the side, it felt like this should be gated as least but this is honestly a nitpick as I had a great stay!

Overall pretty average. Nothing outstanding.

Liked: Room was pleasant, as were the staff.
Disliked: Food in restaurant was pretty naff and overpriced. Only one tea/ coffee machine in restaurant fat breakfast time which caused lots of delays and a few grumbles.Didn't appreciate having to pay extra £7 to park. Hotel is expensive enough as it is.

Disliked: Our Room 106 was not as clean as we'd expect for the price, babies dummy found by the pull out sofa bed, pillows very lumpy & uncomfortable, not enough cups for 3 people to have a drink, shower curtain in the bathroom rather than a screen.
