Holiday Inn Express Shrewsbury

Comfortable hotel, but best if...

Liked: The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Comfortable room. The air conditioning was very welcome during the heatwave. Not far from a bus route into Shrewsbury.
Disliked: The hotel is in a business park on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Probably convenient for those with cars, but I was using public transport and hadn’t realised there are no buses in Shrewsbury on Sundays. The hotel had a direct link to a taxi firm who proved reasonable and reliable, but taxis are a lot more expensive than buses. The wifi was a bit erratic in my room. The hotel was very busy on the Saturday night and the wifi was struggling to get to 2 bars. However, on Sunday, with fewer people, it was fine.

Comfortable stay in quiet location,...

Liked: Friendly staff, comfortable room with good bathroom, situated in a quiet good location on the edge of town next to major roads, with a good varied hearty breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
Disliked: The USB charging points in the room either were either not working, or not charging.

From start to finish..all good

Liked: First time at a Holiday Inn. Reception staff courteous and helpful. Lots of little touches throughout..excellent breakfast that exceeded our expectations. Air conditioned room was a godsend on a very warm night
Disliked: Nothing to report

Liked: It is a well managed establishment with space to have a drink in the lobby area.
Disliked: Staffs’ attitude.
