Comfortable and good value

Liked: Friendly, efficient and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower lovely and hot, with good pressure.There was ample choice for breakfast. The hotel was slightly ‘round the houses’ in the business park, but it was a quiet area.

Not a great stay due...

Liked: The staff were polite and friendly
Disliked: There was building work and it meant that it was a long walk from the room to reception as it was impossible to access the reception without going outside via a fire escape crossing the car park to re-enter the building. The reception was only 10 metres away from the room but inaccessible internally.

Holiday Inn Express had everything...

Liked: The staff were professional and friendly. The room was very good. Breakfast was more than sufficient. The location was everything we needed to get to other venues. The cost of the rooms for three days was very good. We will be back in the future.
Disliked: More efficient breakfast staff, clearing the tables of used crockery and cutlery. We had to relocate to the lounge to get a seat to eat breakfast.

Liked: Excellent staff.Reliable, helpful, and attentive to requests.The room was clean and comfortable with the essentials for a short stay.
Disliked: There were some refurbishment works being undertaken, and despite the best efforts of all the staff, this did detract a little (but not majorly).We are looking forward to our stay later this week when everything should be back to normal.

Some good things, some not...

Liked: Terrific staff, really friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Comfortable super large bed.
Disliked: IHG need to lift their game and provide SECURE wifi for guests, it’s a necessity for overseas travellers now. Entire lobby and kitchen area being re-tiled/carpeted, so no lifts (and the workmen were soooooo sloooow, we were there 3 nights and saw very little progress!) understand that’s beyond the scope of staff and they did what they could to help. Property felt a bit tired overall.
