Holiday Inn Express Poughkeepsie By IHG

I travel numerous times and I have to say, this place blew me away. I can't stop talking about the staff. They were very profesional and knowledgable. The location was perfect. I had my choice of restaurants and the staff was very helpful with those choices. I left my suitcase behind and did not diccover this until I was home. I immediately called the hotel and Julie, the same staff member that checked me in, answered the phone and immediately told me not to worry, that she would find it and send it back. In five minutes she called back and she had the luggage. She also sent me a link to UPS for me to obtain a label. I did and I sent it to her. She had my luggage on the UPS truck the same day. I can't explain how great she really is. Thank you Julia for all you do. Ken - a very happy customer!

Stayed at this hotel for a concert downtown. Being thàt the downtown area is really dumpy, I would definitely recommend staying a few miles out. This hotel and location are great. When a taxi service blew off our reservation (made by Holiday Inn front desk), a front staff member jumped to our aid and drove us to the Mid Hudson Civic Center himself. That was really awesome. The room was nice, quiet and clean. Although it was a Tuesday to Wednesday stay. Overall good location and would stày again! Thanks.

Liked: It’s just generally where we like to stay in Poughkeepsie. Might try a little more reasonable Hotel next time.
Disliked: Everything was fine, never did offer my old standby bacon @ breakfast on our 4 night stay, which is ok just mix it up more.And not real reasonably priced.

Disliked: the first room we were given had a broken toilet seat. The second room had food crumbs on the bedspreads, and then we found a bedbug. We left. It was one of the worst experiences that we have ever had, and booking had them rated an 8.4, so we were definitely expecting better.

Liked: Clean and friendly staff. Great location and very peaceful.
Disliked: No indoor pool. Only pool is outdoor. In the state of NY especially upstate it’s odd that the only pool would be outside.
